Music Instrumental Lessons

We offer a variety of music lessons and would love to help your child further develop their interest in music. Your child can choose from a range of different instruments including:

  • Violin, Viola
  • Flute, Clarinet, Saxophone
  • Trumpet, Horn, Trombone, Tuba
  • Piano, Pipe Organ
  • Guitar (Classical or Electric)
  • Drums
  • Voice (Classical, Musical Theatre, Jazz, Pop etc)

To apply for lessons, please fill in this form (link to follow). Some instruments are very popular, meaning we have to hold a waiting list.  Students will be contacted when a place becomes available.

The yearly cost of lessons is £600 for 30 half hour lessons. This means that music lessons are £20 per lesson. This is paid directly to the peripatetic teacher and not through school. Contact details for the music teachers will be sent out once your child’s place is confirmed.  Any student who is Pupil Premium is entitled to a 25% discount on fees. Pupil premium students do not need to apply for this.

We do not want any child to see cost as a barrier to learning an instrument. Any parents can apply to the Enabling Fund for additional financial support with up to a 25% discount on music fees. This is not means tested, but parents/carers do need to apply. See the Enabling Fund page for further information on making an application. Please return the Enabling Fund form to the Music Department.
