Timings of the School Day
At SMRT, we have a two-week timetable, week 1 and week 2. Lessons are one hour long Monday – Thursday, and 50 minutes on a Friday.
The time we expect students to arrive at school varies depending on whether they have a tutor session or assembly. If students have a tutor session or assembly, they need to be in the room (common room for assemblies) ready for 8.30am. If students do not have a tutor session or assembly, they must arrive ready for their first lesson.
Monday to Thursday
- 08:00 Sixth Form building open to students
- 08:30 – 09:00 Year 12 have tutor every Monday or Tuesday. Year 13 have tutor every Wednesday or Thursday. Year 12 then have assembly in week one, on a Wednesday or Thursday. Year 13 then have assembly in week two, on a Monday or Tuesday.
- 09:00 – 10:00 Period 1
- 10:00 – 10:20 Break
- 10:20 – 11:20 Period 2
- 11:20 – 12:25 Period 3
- 12:25 – 13:10 Lunch
- 13:10 – 14:10 Period 4
- 14:10 – 15:15 Period 5
- 15:15 End of school
- 16:00 Sixth Form building closes to students

- 09:50 – 10:45 Period 2
