Great Exam Results
Details of another great set of exam results.
A Level Results
We are delighted with the great results achieved by our A Level students, which marks the third consecutive year of improved results and remains well above pre-pandemic levels.
For example, the percentage of A and A* grades this year is 26.9%, up from 26.2% last year and from 23.6% in 2019.
The percentage of grades awarded at B or above is 57.1% compared with 57.8% in 2024, 54.3% in 2023 and 49.5% in 2019.
The percentage of grades awarded at C or above is 82.4% compared with 79.3% in 2024 and 75.2% in 2019.
So far, 9 of our students have confirmed places at Oxford or Cambridge University, and a further 12 at medical schools across the country. We continue to experience incredibly high numbers of our UCAS applicants being accepted onto their firm choice of course. Apprenticeship places will be confirmed in due course.
The third consecutive year of improved results and remains well above pre-pandemic levels.
Every set of results represents a significant achievement for the young people in our community. They are a testament to the hard work of teachers, support staff, parents and carers and, most of all, our fantastic students, of whom we are very proud.
We wish our students the very best as they embark on their next steps in higher education, employment or training.
GCSE Results
We are delighted with the achievements of our Year 11 students, who have produced a fantastic set of GCSE results.
The percentage of students achieving a strong pass (L5+) in both Maths and English rose by more than 7% to 60.2% and for the standard pass (Level 4+) the figure was 76.5%, which is above pre-pandemic levels.
The percentage of students achieving at least five strong (level 5+) passes, including English and Maths, rose by more than 7% to 58.4% and 18.6% of students achieved a level 7 or above in both English and Maths.
We are delighted with the achievements of our Year 11 students, who have produced a fantastic set of GCSE results.
We have also seen an increase in the Attainment 8 score for all students. Progress 8 will not be measured this year as SATs were not taken by this cohort due to the pandemic.
This group of students joined us in Year 7 during the pandemic, and it is to the immense credit of their parents and carers, their teachers and, of course, the students themselves that they finish Year 11 with such a great set of results. We wish our students the very best as they embark on their next steps in further education, employment or training.
