Last week most of us were able to attend an event in the hall with LZ7 as part of the ‘Illuminate’ Tour. Here is a reminder of what that was like!

The lead vocalist, Lindz West, spoke very openly about his faith and how it has inspired him to be the best version of himself. He challenged us all to think about our purpose and how we can be people who make wise choices to make the world a better place. We can do that by valuing faith.

Do your actions show that you value faith? How would someone who didn’t know you know that you value faith? Do you show forgiveness? Are you someone who can say sorry?

Here are some words from the Bible about this:

My friends, what good is it for one of you to say that you have faith if your actions do not prove it? Can that faith save you? Suppose there are brothers or sisters who need clothes and don't have enough to eat. What good is there in your saying to them, “God bless you! Keep warm and eat well!” - if you don't give them the necessities of life?

So it is with faith: if it is alone and includes no actions, then it is dead.

But someone will say, “One person has faith, another has actions.” My answer is, “Show me how anyone can have faith without actions. I will show you my faith by my actions.”

Prayer

Lord Jesus, thank you for all the examples you have given us about how to live. How to show that we value faith through our actions. Help us to live like you. Amen
