We Can Contribute 1

Weekly Worship from Chaplain Josh.
This week, our ALIVE value is We Can Contribute. The Bible tells a great story that shows why it’s important for everyone to play their part. Let’s read it together.
Nehemiah had a dream to rebuild the broken walls of his city that he used to live in. But he couldn’t do it alone. Even though he wasn’t a builder, he invited others to join him. Before starting, he prayed, looked around, and made a plan – then he asked the people to work together.
Everyone took part. Families, leaders, priests, and workers all helped, each doing their part. They built side by side, encouraging one another and sharing the work.
When problems came and others tried to stop them, Nehemiah reminded the people that God was with them and that they were stronger together. They prayed, stayed focused, and kept working as a team.
By working together with faith and courage, they finished the wall in just 52 days. What seemed impossible became possible because everyone joined in – and God was with them.
What is something small you can contribute that could make a big difference?
(Examples: kindness, effort, encouragement, listening, helping someone)
Take a moment to reflect and share one way you can contribute this week:
- to your classes
- to the School
- or to a friend
Let’s pray,
God, thank you that every one of us is important and valued by you. Thank you that we all have different gifts, strengths, and abilities, and that we each have something to give. Help us to see where we can contribute. Whether through kindness, effort, encouragement, or helping others. Help us to remember that even small actions can make a big difference when we work together. Amen.
