We are Resilient 2

Weekly Worship from Mrs Duzniak.

What does it mean to be ‘resilient’?

Have a class discussion about what this word means?

Can you think of a person who has shown resilience?  How do they do this?

You don’t know how resilient you are until you have to deal with something tricky or difficult.

The Bible says,

‘We also have joy with our troubles, because we know that these troubles produce patience. And patience produces character, and character produces hope. And this hope will never disappoint us, because God has poured out his love to fill our hearts.Romans 5:3-4

Resilience is a choice.  It is choosing to rise above your challenges and become the best version of yourself you can be.  As you watch this short film, think about how you can be resilient. What can you learn?

Prayer,

Dear Lord, help to develop resilience when the going gets tough.  Sometimes I can find it hard to dig deep when I am facing something that makes me anxious or scared.  Thank you that you are always with me, and I can learn so much from difficult situations.  Help me to trust you and be resilient.  Thank you for our school community. Help me to help others be resilient when life gets tricky.  Help me to be a good friend.

Amen
