We Value Diversity and Choice 1

Weekly Worship from Chaplain Josh
Let’s have a quick look at how we value diversity as a school community!
Valuing diversity means not just accepting difference, but celebrating it. It means learning from one another, respecting what makes us unique, and recognising that we are stronger together because of our differences.
I’m always inspired by the words of the Apostle John (one of Jesus’ closest followers), as he describes his vision of heaven:
After this I looked, and there before me was a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language, standing before the throne and before the Lamb.(Revelation 7:9)
This is such a powerful picture of God’s creation. God loves his diverse creation — every person bringing who they are, just as they were made, into His family.
Last week, as we looked out across Redcliffe Church during our services and saw students from so many different heritages, languages, and cultures, it felt like a glimpse of that heavenly vision — a reminder of the wonderfully diverse community we share here at school.
As a tutor group, let’s share some ideas about how we can celebrate diversity, learn from one another, and bring the richness of our own cultures into school life.
Let’s finish with a short prayer,
God, thank you for the gift of diversity — for the many talents, cultures, and perspectives we find in our school community.
Help us to value each other, to celebrate what makes us unique, and to grow stronger together. Amen.
