Isolated But Not Alone 17

It's the last week of school! Throughout these last few months, the INA has been a resource to remind us that even though we have been physically distant, we have been connected in community. We have had contributions from staff, students and parents and hope it has encouraged you!

Worship – By Chaplain's Joey and Eric

We hope you enjoyed our discussion. Which of our tips did you like and what would you add?

May this scripture go with you as you go into your summer.

And he said, “My presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.”

Exodus 33:14

Wellbeing – Ms Howard
Here are some of Ms Howard's top tips for wellbeing this summer.

Prayer
God of all beginnings and endings, We praise and thank You for this school year.
It has been a time filled with challenges and opportunities, joys and sorrows. At times we haven't known the way ahead, but we trust that you have been working and guiding us. Give us the rest and refreshment we need this summer. Let our efforts of this past year bear fruit. Watch over us in the weeks of rest ahead and help us return to school with a new spirit and a new energy. Amen

Hopeful Song Of The Week
We will never forget this time we have lived through, there have been many highs and lows but Kirk Franklin, reminds us that we can always Smile

• Word class – verb
• Definition - cease work or movement in order to relax, sleep, or recover strength
• Synonyms – relax, slow down, pause
• After such a stressful and strange time it is important to rest.

Poem Of The Week
CONSIDER THE GRASS GROWING
Consider the grass growing
As it grew last year and the year before,
Cool about the ankles like summer rivers
When we walked on a May evening through the meadows
To watch the mare that was going [to] foal
Patrick Kavanagh

Well that's all from the INA team, thanks for joining us these last 17 weeks. In conclusion, I thought I would add one of my own poems that I think captures some of the feelings of lockdown frustration as well as the joys of greater freedom and getting outside. I think we've all done really well during this time, so give yourself a pat on the back and take a break this summer! God bless and peace be with you.
