General School Meals Information
Innovate have been providing our school meals since 2018. Innovate provide healthy school lunches and also operate a breakfast and break-time service.
A cashless system is used in the Main School to pay for food, and students can 'top-up' their catering account at the 2 revaluation units on A Floor (by Student Reception) and B Floor (by Visitor Reception) either with cash, or cheques made payable to Innovate Services Ltd. Please ensure that your child's name and House/Tutor group (e.g. JAHCl) is written on the back of your cheque.
Our cashless catering system uses biometric data about your son/daughter. Biometric data is information about a person’s physical or behavioural characteristics that can be used to identify them – in our case this information comes from their fingerprint. For an explanatory letter to this system please click here.
We are required by law to notify each parent/carer that we process biometric data about their child(ren), and to obtain the written consent of at least one parent/carer in order to continue using their child(ren)’s biometric data for catering purposes. If you are happy to consent to the processing of your child(ren)’s biometric data, please sign, date and return this consent form to Mrs Sue Josham via the school office, or by e-mail This email address is being protected from spambots. Cashless System Refund Policy
In all cases, students are encouraged to plan their top-ups and spending so that their accounts are at a minimum by the time they leave school. This will help in reducing administration in both the school office and at Innovate Services’ Business Support Centre.
Please email the student's name, the remaining balance and the last payment reference to This email address is being protected from spambots. Friends of SMRT (PTA)
All those with parental responsibility of current students at the school are members of the 'Friends of SMRT'. The Friends of SMRT Committee meets monthly and is elected at the Annual General Meeting in October. Parents/carers are able to stand for election to this body. The 'Friends of SMRT' contributes to school life in many ways, including being a major consultative group and for the raising of funds for school use through the 'School Support Fund' (a donation form is provided in the next section). We urge you to subscribe from the start of your connection with school, and to support the various social and fund raising events held throughout the year. The monies raised are split between supporting the school's building programme (the Governors have to pay 10% of all building costs in a church school) and supporting the Enabling Fund. This Fund assists with both individual and more general educational needs which arise from time to time. School Support Fund
We encourage as many parents/carers as possible to donate to this fund, as this is the 'Friends' main way of supporting the school financially. Please download and complete the Donation Form, and send it to: School Support Fund, St Mary Redcliffe and Temple School, Somerset Square, Bristol, BS1 6RT. If you are a taxpayer please tick the 'Gift Aid' box on the form so that we can also claim an extra 25% tax back from the government making every £1.00 you donate worth £1.25.
Enabling Fund
Disadvantage should not be a barrier to opportunity and to date the Enabling Fund has supported many thousands of students. Priority is always given to students in financial hardship. Find out more here.
