Darren PCSO2

Hello my name is Darren Brown and I am a Police Community Support Officer based here at St Mary Redcliffe and Temple School.

I have worked in the school and the local area over the last ten years in a supporting role, and in August 2015 I was appointed the school's permanent PCSO.

I became the first PCSO for Redcliffe in 2006 and soon became a familiar face throughout the beat, and it wasn’t long before the Neighborhood Watch co-ordinator, together with local residents, presented me with a Bristol Blue glass tankard showing their appreciation for my hard work. In 2007 I was awarded Bristol's runner up for PCSO of the Year and in 2008 I won PCSO of the Year.

My role at the school is to make all the staff and students feel and be safe, to create better relationships between the police and young people and tackle any aspects of criminal behaviour. I give educational input around internet/online safety, drugs awareness, knife crime, personal safety, careers and much more. I support the school at their week-long Summer Camp and Summer School activities and I have even been the DJ at the school's Leavers Prom!

I am always available to speak to school staff and students, parents and carers. This can be done face to face in the school or by phone. If you would like to speak with me please contact the school.
